I use the app mostly for meditation and ASMR at night. Great quality! I have only 4 stars because I believe the format can be too 'busy.' You have so many different types of things running into each other. Shorts that you can react to and then ones you can't? Then videos. Then scroll left, up, down. Sometimes there is too much distraction on screen with the shorts because of too much text description and links that aren't to a longer version of the short

For the last couple of months the app has been crashing and even forcing me to restart my phone because the app will crash and then the background play will appear (black screened) and be impossible to close or pause. If I reopen the app it is also impossible to close. the only thing I have found to be able to fix it is by restarting my entire phone. I hope its fixed in an update soon.

Last few updates have been making the app worse for users who primarily use their phone to sync with the TV app. I prefer tapping on a video, then selecting whether to play or add to queue. This has now been hidden behind a small ... menu, and tapping on a video plays it immediately, overriding the current video. Not the biggest deal, but it continues the trend of burying my most frequently used settings behind sub menus. I know these are "power user" features, but we are YT's biggest advocates.

I use the miniplayer when scrolling on the app very often. I don't think it needed to be changed, and now it's an annoying floating miniplayer with broken collision. When I click on the X, it doesn't work half to time, and it also moves when I drag on a place far away from it. I hope it either gets fixed or reverted back to the original.

YouTube has added an extra search bar for some reason. Now, it takes me 8 seconds instead of 3, to search for the same app I've been downloading/dumping every day. Also, YouTube wants me to erase my 3000+ Watch Later playlist ONE BY ONE. I asked YouTube customer service, and they said there is no click on anything that will erase it all, AND I can't add more to the list for recent activity! Thank you YouTube for your awesome platform, you can!❤️
